Castles
There are 3 nice castles you can reach in 15 minutes by car. We will give you more information about each of these castles.
Churches
Hill St. Moritz with Roman church and ossuary from 13th century (10 min. walking distance from our holiday homes)
There are 2 very nice churches very close to our place:
Mouřenec (St Mauritz) is just above our holiday homes, you will it sitting on the terrace in front of house. It has long history.
Good water church has an unique altar made from glass.

Český Krumlov
Český Krumlov
Český Krumlov is first of all a town of historical heritage – 300 protected buildings in the historical centre designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the second largest castle complex in the Czech Republic, and the oldest Baroque theatre in the world. It has plenty of small, picturesque streets along the river of Vltava or inside the old town.
Orlik chateau
Beautiful chateau on the rock above the water of Orlik lake. Breathtaking view!
Famous brewery Pilsner Urquell
It doesn´t need big description. Just visit the famous brewery in Pilsen and taste the best czech beer.
You can complete your visit to Pilsen by Techmania Science Center. This interactive “museum” is based on exhibits that explain a particular mathematical or physical principle by means of game-like activities. Amazing for kids and youth!
Prague
Prague is about 2 hours by car. You need to wake-up early… If you want to stay there overnight we can arrange nice B&B or small apartment for a reasonable price. Prague is full of sightseeings and we will help you to organise your day in Prague. We used to live there and can help you with insiders tips.
Bavaria (Germany)
Bavaria border is only 25 minutes from our house. Staying with us allows you to discover also southern part of Sumava mountains called Bayerischer wald. There are many nice walk and places to see. We give you some tips:
- Small zoo in Lohberg (40 minutes by car)
- Path above the trees Neuschönau (45 minutes by car)
- Glassworks Joska Kristall Bodenmais (40 minutes by car)
- Glassdorf Weinfurtner Arnbruck (50 minutes by car)
Passau
Passau + Danube cruise
Passau – the “Three-Rivers-City” is really one of a kind. Witness the fascinating natural spectacle of the confluence of three rivers: the Danube, Inn and Ilz. It´s worth to visit it! You can also take a short cruise on Danube river.
Passau is about 75 minutes drive from our place.
Munich
Munich – the capital of Bavaria. Nice, modern, fresh city with big shopping opportunities, excellent restaurants and much more… It´s about 2 hours 15 minutes by car, 2/3 of the route on the motorway.
